Leading Barcelona’s shortlist is Julián Álvarez of Atlético Madrid. However, uncertainties surrounding a potential move for the Argentine forward have prompted the club to explore other options.

The Catalan giants have been planning for months to strengthen their attacking line, particularly the No. 9 position, with several players fitting the profile under evaluation.
Osimhen has boosted his reputation following an impressive run in Turkey, registering 56 goals in 70 appearances over two seasons. His current contract runs until 2029.
Despite his strong goal-scoring record, concerns about his discipline remain, which reportedly influenced his exit from Napoli in 2024.

Meanwhile, other potential targets appear to have slipped down the pecking order. Dušan Vlahović, who is yet to extend his contract with Juventus, is not seen as an ideal fit for Barcelona’s playing style.
Similarly, Benjamin Šeško, now at Manchester United after a big-money move from RB Leipzig, is no longer being considered following underwhelming performances.
