The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 10 suspects in connection with the violence that disrupted the All Progressives Congress primary election in the Egbe area of Alimosho Local Government Area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident reportedly occurred on Saturday at Onilewura Street along Liasu Road when suspected hoodlums stormed the venue of the APC primary election and allegedly fired sporadically into the air, causing panic among party members, voters and residents.

The attack disrupted the electoral process as party officials and participants reportedly fled the scene for safety amid the chaos.
Several persons were said to have sustained injuries during the disturbance, while the hoodlums allegedly took advantage of the confusion to rob attendees and nearby residents of mobile phones and other valuables.
Confirming the incident, Femi Adeoye dismissed reports claiming that lives were lost during the attack, insisting that no fatality was recorded.
According to him, the suspects have been detained at the Ikotun Divisional Police Station while investigations continue into the incident.
Adeoye further disclosed that security operatives recovered a locally made firearm from the suspects during the operation.
“The hoodlums responsible for the disturbance have been arrested and taken to Ikotun Divisional Police Station. A gun was also recovered from them,” he stated.

The police assured residents and APC supporters that a comprehensive investigation would be carried out to uncover those behind the violence and establish the motive for the attack.
The command also warned that anyone found culpable would face prosecution in accordance with the law.
Residents were urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could assist ongoing investigations.
