Notable among them are Olayemi Street in Ibonwon, MOT/Odomola Road, Ogun Road in Odogbawojo, Odo-Egiri Road, FEKO Road in Ibonwon, and Oluayan Road in Mojoda.
These routes are vital for daily transportation, economic activities, and access to essential services such as schools, health centres, and markets.
Residents of Igbooye and Poka, long burdened by poor road conditions, have expressed overwhelming gratitude for the intervention, noting that the improvements have already begun to ease the movement of goods and people while boosting local trade and agriculture.
During an inspection tour of the ongoing works, Hon. Ogunkelu — popularly known as “Sketel” — assured community stakeholders that the remaining three road projects, including Jalugaye Road in Igbooye, Jagunmolu Street in Poka, and another vital stretch, are on track for completion within the stipulated time frame.
He reiterated that enhancing road infrastructure remains a top priority on his legislative agenda, particularly as a means of improving the overall quality of life and attracting investment into rural and underserved communities in Epe.
“These roads are more than just construction projects; they are lifelines for the people,” Hon. Ogunkelu stated. “We are building access to opportunity, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.”
