The multi-award-winning music icon made the candid disclosure during a recent interactive livestream with popular content creator Davrel, where he discussed the heavy financial realities that come with maintaining a top-tier celebrity status.
According to Davido, his expenditure pattern varies significantly depending on his current geographical location.
He explained that his expenses drop considerably when he is in the United States, where he lives a quieter and highly private life alongside his wife, Chioma, and their children.
However, the singer painted a completely different picture of his lifestyle in Nigeria.

When back on home soil, his heavy schedule, public appearances, and large entourage drive his daily spending through the roof.
When pressed by the host to give an approximate estimate of his typical monthly budget, the “Timeless” star put the figure at hundreds of thousands of dollars.
To the surprise of many, Davido went on to clarify that this staggering figure does not even represent his total household or business overhead.
He noted that the estimate is strictly dedicated to his personal day-to-day lifestyle, excluding separate budgets meant for his wife’s expenses, general family upkeep, or his frequent acquisitions of luxury sports cars and high-end jewelry.
The revelation has once again highlighted the immense commercial power of the Afrobeats industry and the luxurious, high-spending world of its most successful exports.
