INEC, EFCC, Others To Discuss Corruption In Nigeria’s 2023 Elections

- The Conversation Africa has put together a panel featuring INEC, EFCC and other experts to discuss corruption in Nigeria’s 2023 elections.
- The panel aims to address the role of corruption in the last election, highlight lessons learned for future elections and examine women’s participation in politics.
- Tinubu won the previous presidential election defeating Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have been listed among other panelists to discuss corruption in Nigeria’s 2023 elections.
The panel is put together by The Conversation Africa which has over the last two years been hosting science policy dialogues that bring scientists and policymakers together to discuss issues.

According to a statement made available to newsmen, other panelists include Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre, Hamzat Lawal of Code4Africa, Dr Damilola Agbalajobi and Prof Emmanuel Aiyede.
The panel is expected to address questions on the role of corruption in the just concluded general election and also note the gains and the challenges recorded.
Women’s participation in the election will also be addressed as the panel hopes to highlight lessons learnt for the future.
President-elect Bola Tinubu won the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
