EKO HOT BLOG reports that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, speaking on Thursday, described the damage as “serious” and said the country is currently assessing the full extent of the destruction.
“A detailed assessment of the damage is being carried out by experts from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran,” Araghchi told state television.
He added that Iran would seek compensation, noting that discussions on demanding damages have now become a key part of the country’s diplomatic efforts. “These damages are serious, and expert studies and political decision-making are underway at the same time,” he said.
The airstrikes, which occurred on June 22, 2025, were part of the US military’s direct intervention in support of Israel’s war with Iran. Satellite images released by Maxar Technologies show the Isfahan nuclear enrichment facility in central Iran before and after the strikes, highlighting the extent of the destruction.
Former US President Donald Trump, who ordered the strikes, has repeatedly claimed that the operation “totally obliterated” Iran’s key nuclear sites.

The strikes marked a significant escalation in the Middle East conflict, drawing Washington deeper into the military confrontation between Israel and Iran.
Iran’s leadership has indicated that it will pursue both technical reviews and political responses as it navigates the aftermath of the 12-day war.
