Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has accused the United States and Israel of crossing a critical red line by attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities, warning of serious consequences and vowing that Tehran would defend itself “by all means necessary.”

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Araghchi made the remarks on Sunday in Istanbul at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting, hours after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that American warplanes had struck three major nuclear sites in Iran, amid an ongoing Israeli air campaign.
“They crossed a very big red line by attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities,” Araghchi said. “The most dangerous strike happened only last night. Iran will respond decisively not only to U.S. military aggression but also to the reckless and unlawful actions of the Israeli regime.”
He further revealed plans to travel to Moscow later on Sunday for urgent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I’m going to Moscow this afternoon to hold serious consultations with the Russian president tomorrow,” he stated.
Following the strikes, Trump declared that Iran “must now agree to end this war” and insisted that the Islamic Republic must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

However, Araghchi dismissed the idea of renewed negotiations, calling them “irrelevant.” He blamed the U.S. for undermining diplomatic efforts and backing what he described as Israel’s “genocidal and illegal war of aggression.”
“They gave a green light to the Israelis—if not directly instructed them—to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities,” Araghchi said. “They have shown that they are not committed to diplomacy, but only understand threats and force.”
