Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israeli forces are focusing on key figures within Iran’s military structure, describing the operation as part of efforts to weaken leadership directing attacks.
Khademi was reportedly among at least 25 people killed during coordinated airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel on Monday, as the conflict between both sides intensifies.

In retaliation, Iran launched drones and missiles toward targets in the Gulf region and Israel. One such strike hit the city of Haifa, where at least two people were confirmed dead following damage to a residential building.
The latest casualty adds to a growing list of high-ranking Iranian officials killed since the outbreak of hostilities, including Ali Larijani and Mohammad Pakpour.
Despite these losses, analysts suggest Iran has maintained operational capacity through a decentralised command system, allowing it to continue coordinating military responses even after the deaths of senior commanders.
