The Itsekiri ethnic nationality is preparing to demonstrate a major show of political strength this Sunday with a mega endorsement rally at Nanna College, Warri.

The rally, themed “The Itsekiri Stands with the Renewed Hope For M.O.R.E. Agenda, 4 + 4,” is expected to draw leaders, women, and youth groups from across the Niger Delta and Edo State.

According to the organizers, the decision to back the incumbents stems from tangible developments within the Itsekiri homeland and the broader South-South region.
Key reasons cited for the endorsement include the sustained peace in previously volatile riverine areas, the Federal Government’s commitment to completing the East-West Road, and Governor Oborevwori’s “M.O.R.E.
Agenda,” which has facilitated various road and electrification projects in Warri South, North, and South-West Local Government Areas.
The statement emphasized that the endorsement is a “voluntary, people-driven” movement intended to project Warri as a center of political stability.
Beyond local infrastructure, the Itsekiri leaders highlighted national reforms such as the student loan scheme and Warri Port reforms as indicators that the current administrations are “a winning team” that should not be changed.
Governor Oborevwori is expected to attend the ceremony as the Special Guest of Honour at the invitation of the ethnic nationality.
