“Today we gather not only to celebrate a milestone, but to honor a movement, a legacy of unity, service, and cultural pride that has flourished for a quarter of a century,” he said.
The chairman expressed gratitude to Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, commissioners, ministers, and other dignitaries in attendance, noting that their presence reflected the strong bond between Nigeria and its diaspora communities.
He also acknowledged the representative of the State of New Jersey for supporting multicultural communities and fostering civic partnerships that strengthen organizations like Eko Club International.
Jimson highlighted the achievements of the association over the years, citing its role in promoting education, healthcare, advocacy, and cultural preservation both in Nigeria and among Nigerians abroad.

He noted that the 2025 convention’s theme, “Bridging Generations, Building Communities,” goes beyond a slogan, describing it as the living legacy of the club.
“To our leaders, thank you for laying the foundation. To our youth, thank you for carrying the torch forward. And to our partners and sponsors, your belief in our vision fuels our journey,” he added.
Jimson urged members and guests to see the convention as a moment of reflection, renewal, and reconnection, while recommitting to building stronger communities “rooted in heritage, driven by purpose, and united by hope.”
He formally declared the 25th anniversary celebrations open with blessings and goodwill to all participants.
