“It is not a joke to come together year after year for 25 years, sustaining an association to the level you have brought it today. Congratulations,” he said.
While recognizing the presence of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Obanikoro noted the governor’s efforts in making time to attend despite his demanding schedule.

Obanikoro emphasized the need for the club to attract more young members in order to ensure continuity and relevance.
“I look around and I see an ageing population. We need to fill this hall with younger generations. This is a challenge that will test your strength and character as a body,” he charged.
He recalled the club’s historic support for Lagos State, citing the donation of equipment to Lagos State University (LASU) during his time as commissioner, and urged members to sustain such contributions for the development of the state.
“Let us together make Lagos a shining example of what is possible, not only in Nigeria but across the world,” he urged.
He concluded with goodwill messages to the association, wishing them success in their upcoming internal elections while extending his blessings to all members.
