JUST IN: 10 Travellers Abducted By Gunmen in Ondo

At least 10 travellers were reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen along the Owo-Ipele-Benin Highway in Ondo State.

Confirming the incident, the Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmi Odunlami, stated that seven people were kidnapped by the assailants.
However, sources in Akure, the state capital, claimed the number could be higher.
The victims were said to be returning from a South-South state and heading to Akure when their vehicle was attacked.
Their commercial bus was later found abandoned by the roadside, raising concerns among other drivers who alerted authorities.
The police have assured the public that investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to secure the safe release of the victims.
