After five days of blackout, Kaduna Electric Distribution Company has restored power to Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states.
The power outage, which had disrupted businesses and daily life in the affected states, was resolved after the Kaduna State government intervened.

Governor Uba Sani convened an emergency meeting on Friday with Kaduna Electric’s management and two in-house labor unions at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House.
A statement released after the meeting indicated that all parties had agreed to review past disputes and work towards an amicable resolution.
The unions and the electricity company’s management signed a resolution to ensure immediate power restoration.
Sources revealed that Governor Sani acted as a guarantor, assuring fairness to both the workers and the company’s leadership.
He also commended the unions for their understanding, while the labor representatives praised Kaduna Electric’s Managing Director, Dr. Umar Abubakar Hashidu, for his leadership in resolving the crisis.
