Eko Hot Blog reports that the exercise is targeted at easing the daily struggles of the aged, widows, widowers, and other vulnerable persons across communities within Lekki LCDA.
Under the February distribution, a total of 2,000 bags of food items are being delivered directly to beneficiaries.
Phase One of the exercise was carried out on Friday, while Phase Two commenced on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
As with previous editions, the distribution is conducted door to door to ensure that the support reaches intended beneficiaries without stress or exclusion.
The monthly food distribution initiative was introduced by Engr. Kasali during the 2023 nationwide palliative exercise.
After pledging to sustain the intervention beyond the initial period, the Chairman has consistently fulfilled that promise by making the programme a regular feature of his administration.
The initiative has continued to receive commendation from residents, who describe it as a practical demonstration of responsive leadership and grassroots-focused governance in Lekki LCDA.
