Their final day in the US was marked by a relaxed outing in the town of Front Royal, where they joined locals for a festive “block party” celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The event featured live bluegrass and country music, marching bands, traditional dances, and a parade of classic cars.
Crowds turned out in large numbers to greet the royal couple, who interacted directly with residents during a walkabout, one of their few public engagements outside tightly secured venues during the trip.
The visit offered a contrast to earlier formal engagements in Washington, including a farewell at the White House with Donald Trump and a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

In keeping with tradition, the King and Queen contributed dishes to a communal meal, bringing items such as Coronation quiche, sponge cake, and honey from royal hives, adding a personal touch to the celebration.
Following the conclusion of the US visit, King Charles departed for Bermuda, where he was received by officials including Governor Andrew Murdoch and Premier David Burt.
A formal welcome, complete with ceremonial honours, is expected to take place on today.
