The Don allayed the fears of parents and students regarding the possibility of a tuition fee hike, as has been witnessed in many universities across the country following the removal of fuel subsidies.

Currently, Indigenes and non-indigenes pay N150,000 and N250,000, respectively, as school fees in KWASU, Naija News understands.

However, Professor Jimoh emphasized that the decision to maintain the current fees payable by students is a testament to the governor’s visionary leadership. He further noted that the current economic climate, which has led to fee increases in many institutions, has placed an additional burden on parents and sponsors of students.

He therefore urged the students to reciprocate the goodwill by conducting themselves peacefully and making optimal use of the opportunity of schooling at the institution.

Professor Jimoh congratulated the new executive, saying that they had been entrusted with a significant responsibility.

In his inauguration speech, the President of the Student Union, Soliu Kolapo Abdulkadir, reiterated his commitment to serve all students regardless of their backgrounds.

He declared that the guiding principle of his administration is to propel institutions towards progress.
