The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has praised law enforcement officers for their quick response in apprehending three individuals caught vandalizing critical electricity infrastructure in Ikoyi.

“The destruction of power infrastructure is a serious offence that disrupts essential services, endangers lives, and slows down economic activities.
The government will not tolerate such criminal acts, and we will ensure that those responsible face the full weight of the law,” he stated.

He addressed the far-reaching consequences of vandalizing power infrastructure, stating that such acts result in widespread power disruptions, pose risks to human life, and adversely affect businesses and communities.
Emphasizing the Ministry’s dedication to protecting electricity assets and maintaining a continuous power supply for the public.
