Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the allocation of an additional ₦5 billion for the ongoing construction of the 10,000-capacity National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Permanent Orientation Camp at Agbowa, Ikorodu.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the governor made the disclosure during a meeting with the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, at the Lagos State Government House.

Sanwo-Olu commended Corps Members for their contributions to the growth and development of Lagos, describing the scheme as a “national pride.” He urged participants to uphold the values of service, stressing that the State Government remains committed to their welfare.

He also pledged to consider the NYSC’s requests for an ambulance and other essential equipment to boost operations in Lagos.
The governor further revealed that the minimum allowance for Corps Members serving in Lagos government agencies has been increased, in line with current economic realities.
“Lagos will continue to provide an enabling environment for Corps Members to feel wanted, loved, and to have a memorable service year,” Sanwo-Olu said.
