An Ogba Magistrate Court in Lagos State, on Tuesday, ordered the remand of 56-year-old policeman Owolabi Akinlolu at the Kirikiri Maximum Correctional Centre over allegations of misconduct involving a 17-year-old girl.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Akinlolu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police at Ogudu Police Station, allegedly invited the teenager to his office to help recover her stolen phone.
Reports indicate that the girl’s phone was taken by one-chance robbers while she was returning from Ikeja with her grandmother and siblings.
According to the allegations, the officer called the girl to his office on June 29, claiming that a suspect linked to the theft had been apprehended. However, upon her arrival, he reportedly acted inappropriately.
