The Lagos State Government has released the timetable and guidelines for the 2026 Public Service Examinations through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and the Lagos State Examinations Board.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the examinations will take place from Tuesday, May 12 to Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, Lagos.

The exercise will cover the compulsory examination for all cadres in the state public service, the Combined Confirmation and Promotion Examination for Clerical Officers II and Clerical Assistants, as well as the External Secretarial Examination.
The government explained that the announcement follows an earlier circular released by the Office of the Head of Service dated January 21, 2026.
Candidates are expected to begin printing their examination slips from Tuesday, May 5, 2026, through the official examination portal using their registration details.

The examination slips will contain important information, including candidates’ examination dates and scheduled time.
The board also directed all candidates to present valid means of identification at the examination venue. Accepted documents include Staff Identity Cards, National Identification Number slips and Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) cards.
Candidates are required to come along with printed copies of their examination slips and strictly adhere to their assigned examination schedules.
The board further advised candidates to familiarise themselves with basic computer operations, noting that the examinations would be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
It also stressed that candidates must dress formally, warning that inappropriate dressing would not be allowed at the examination centre.
The Lagos State Examinations Board urged candidates to comply with all instructions to ensure a smooth and orderly conduct of the examinations.
