Officials said the centre was allegedly pumping untreated waste into public drains using mechanical equipment. The situation was worsened by a blocked sewage chamber that led to spillages, foul odour, and environmental nuisance in the area.
The statement confirmed that the centre was sealed after inspection revealed clear evidence of improper waste disposal.
In a related enforcement operation, the agency also shut down Foodies Restaurant located on Admiralty Way in Lekki Phase 1 for similar environmental violations.
Authorities said the restaurant was discharging untreated wastewater containing heavy oil and fat deposits into public drains. This led to blocked drainage channels, pollution, and persistent foul smells, despite earlier warnings issued to the management.

The Lagos State Government reiterated its commitment to environmental protection, stressing that all property owners and operators must comply with approved wastewater disposal regulations.
Officials warned that any individual or organisation found violating environmental laws risks sanctions, including possible prosecution, in line with existing regulations.
