Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed that Lagos remains the heartbeat of innovation and creativity, pledging continued support for initiatives that spotlight homegrown talent making global impact.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the governor stated this when the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH) team, led by its convener, Bodex Hungbo, paid him a courtesy visit at the Lagos State Government House ahead of the sixth edition of the Bodex Social Media Hangout (BSMH 6.0).

Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the team for its efforts in bridging the gap between social media and societal progress, adding that responsible media engagement is vital for Lagos’ digital future.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting projects that encourage innovation, responsible social media use, and youth empowerment across the state.

In recognition of his digital-friendly governance and support for media development, the BSMH team conferred Governor Sanwo-Olu as the Grand Patron of the Bodex Social Media Hangout Initiative.
Convener of the platform, Bodex Hungbo, praised the governor for his open communication style and forward-thinking digital policies, noting that Lagos has become a model for media inclusion and technology-driven governance in Africa.
Hungbo explained that this year’s edition themed “Social Media and AI Influence: Transforming Yourself, Services, and Society” continues the mission of promoting responsible media use, advancing digital literacy, and empowering social media users across Nigeria.
She added that the visit also served as an official invitation for the governor to attend the grand finale of BSMH 6.0 as the keynote speaker and receive the ‘Most Digital Media Friendly Governor of the Year’ award in recognition of his visionary leadership and commitment to transparency through technology.
