Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa has praised the Yoruba Tennis Club for its enduring legacy as the club marked its 100th anniversary with a centenary lecture attended by prominent figures across Nigeria.

In a statement shared via his X handle, Obasa described the club as a historic institution that has remained relevant in shaping intellectual discourse over the years.
“This centenary is not just a celebration of age, but a celebration of impact, consistency, and relevance,” he said.
He commended the club for sustaining a platform that promotes dialogue on governance, unity and national development, noting that such conversations are vital for Nigeria’s progress.
Highlighting the theme of the lecture, Obasa stressed the importance of inclusive governance in addressing the country’s challenges.

“What we are discussing here today, inclusive governance and national unity, is at the heart of what we need as a country. We must continue to embrace unity, dialogue, and collaboration at all levels of leadership,” he added.
He also congratulated the club on its milestone, urging members to preserve its legacy.
