‎LASG Seals Estates Over Layout, Building Permit Violations

‎The Lagos State Government has intensified enforcement against estates operating without approved layout plans and building permits through its Office of Physical Planning,Eko Hot Blog reports.

‎Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Oluyinka Olumide, said the operation was led by the Director of Development Matters, Hakeem Animashaun, and targeted estates that had previously been cautioned.

‎He stated that the Office of Physical Planning is statutorily mandated to ensure that all physical developments across the state comply with approved planning standards and regulations.

‎The commissioner warned that enforcement would continue across the state, stressing that developers who fail to regularise their documents risk sealing and other penalties.

‎He added that the exercise is part of the government’s broader commitment to orderly urban development, protection of infrastructure and sustainable growth, particularly in rapidly expanding areas such as the Lekki-Ajah corridor.
