Man Arrested in Ekiti After Wife’s Assault Video Goes Viral

The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested Jimoh Abdulrahman for allegedly assaulting his wife, Mrs. Akintunde Bidemi Taiwo, in the NOVA area of Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sunday Abutu, the incident occurred on Saturday, February 15, 2025.In response to a tip-off and a viral video of the victim, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, instructed the DPO of Oke-Ila to swiftly identify and arrest the suspect, as well as initiate a full investigation.

Abutu stated, “Upon a tip-off and after watching the viral video of the victim, the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Joseph Eribo, directed the DPO Oke-Ila to immediately identify the culprit, arrest him and commence a thorough investigation.
“The operatives from Oke-Ila division swung into action and arrested the suspect”.
