In response to these allegations, Timothy Chijioke Benedict, a former senior staff member of Dunamis who held several positions within the ministry, issued a statement refuting the claims and offering insight based on his personal experience.
Benedict, who left Dunamis in September 2019 for a new ministry assignment, explained that during his tenure as Head of Media and Publicity and Staff Coordinator, strict protocols were followed to verify testimonies before they were made public. He clarified that the ministry implemented a thorough vetting process for all testimonies, including ensuring the permanency of healings and obtaining consent from recipients before publishing their stories in official materials like the Seeds of Destiny devotional or church flyers.
Benedict began by acknowledging the podcast clip and the accusations from Mr. Abraham. He initially considered ignoring the comments but ultimately felt the need to clarify matters, especially for those who might be misled.

“I owe it to simple-minded believers as a former insider in Dunamis to address these issues. I don’t owe any explanation to critics, as they are free to believe whatever they choose,” Benedict said.
Having worked closely with Dr. Paul Enenche in various roles, including as the Head of Media and Publicity, Head of the Editorial Team, and Assistant Crusade Coordinator, Benedict shared his knowledge of the ministry’s operations. He described Mr. Abraham as a passionate and dedicated member of the staff, especially during his time heading the Production Unit. However, Benedict made it clear that he was not aware of the details surrounding Abraham’s departure from the ministry and was not speaking on behalf of Dunamis.
Benedict stressed that, in his time at Dunamis, the ministry adhered to strict protocols for verifying testimonies, especially for healing services and crusades. He emphasized that only those testimonies that passed the vetting process were made public, and the ministry would often follow up months later to confirm the lasting nature of the healings.

Dr. Enenche, Benedict pointed out, has never claimed that every attendee at healing services would be healed, leaving the matter of healing entirely in God’s hands. Despite the challenges, the ministry valued every person touched by the ministry’s work, no matter how small the outcome seemed.
Benedict closed by expressing his personal affection for Mr. Abraham, encouraging him to resolve any personal grievances with Dunamis and Dr. Enenche in a peaceful manner. He urged Abraham to reconcile with his faith and to focus on restoring his alignment with his original calling.
