A businesswoman, Okolonkwo Ebere Theresa, was arrested on Sunday, September 14, by Aviation Security Officers of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), at the screening point of Terminal 2, Lagos Airport.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Ebere attempted to board a Qatar Airways flight to Doha, Qatar, was caught concealing illicit drugs in her underwear.

Upon a thorough search, officials discovered two parcels of white crystalline substances, which later tested positive for methamphetamine, weighing 1.40 kilograms, hidden in her butt pad underwear.
During interrogation, the suspect claimed to be a trader in used clothing and a POS operator in Enugu before being recruited into the illicit drug trade.

In a related operation, NDLEA operatives at the NAHCO export shed of the Lagos Airport intercepted a consignment of food items on Monday, September 15.
The items were used to conceal 40 wraps of methamphetamine, weighing 2.30 kilograms, destined for Hong Kong via Turkish Airlines.
A 59-year-old suspect, identified as Umelo Ifeanyi Venatus, who presented the consignment as part of consolidated cargo, was immediately taken into custody.
