In another striking development, the anti-narcotics agency demonstrated that advanced age poses no barrier to the strict enforcement of the law. In Ebonyi State, operatives tracked down and apprehended a 75-year-old grandfather, Okebe Samuel, at Okposi.
The septuagenarian was allegedly caught in possession of 300 grams of skunk, which investigators revealed he had been actively dividing into retail sachets to sell directly to the vulnerable youth within his immediate community.

At Uyosa, operatives arrested 24-year-old Chioma Igba and 22-year-old Precious Ozomah with a combined haul of 176 grams of skunk, 65 grams of Loud, and 5 grams of methamphetamine.

Reacting to these significant milestones, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), highly commended the dedication of the officers and reiterated the agency’s unyielding stance on fully dismantling all drug supply chains across Nigeria.
