Announcing the new phase, the Minister of Education, Maruf Tunji Alausa, said the programme is focused on giving young people the tools they need to succeed in today’s changing economy.
For many participants, the programme offers more than just training, it provides a lifeline. With options ranging from 6 months to 1 year, trainees will learn in-demand skills such as ICT, fashion, agriculture, construction, and creative media, among others.
To ease the burden while learning, participants will also receive a monthly stipend of ₦22,500, helping them stay committed throughout the programme.

Beyond the classroom, the goal is clear: empower individuals to start small businesses, find employment, or build careers in technical fields that are often overlooked but highly valuable.
The government is also working to expand opportunities by partnering with the Federal Ministry of Arts Culture and Tourism Nigeria, opening doors for those interested in creative and cultural industries.
For many young Nigerians facing limited job opportunities, initiatives like this represent hope, an opportunity to gain skills, earn a living, and support their families.
Applications open on April 13, 2026, and interested Nigerians are encouraged to apply through the official portal.
