NIMR DG, Obafunwa Optimistic About Budget Allocation Despite Uncertainty

Professor John Oladapo Obafunwa, the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), has expressed optimism regarding the institute’s budget allocation for 2025, despite the uncertainty surrounding the exact amount.
In a recent media chat with selected Journalist, Eko Hot Blog reports that Obafunwa explained that the budget was defended in January this year, during which questions were raised about the funding.

However, he remains hopeful that the institute will have a clearer picture of its allocation by next month.
He acknowledged that while more could have been done with additional funding, he remains grateful for the wisdom of those responsible for allocating resources to the institute.
