“Online registration for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II will commence on Monday, September 8, 2025,” the NYSC stated via its official handle.

The NYSC scheme, launched in 1973 during the administration of General Yakubu Gowon, was introduced as part of efforts to promote national cohesion and rebuild unity in Nigeria following the civil war.
Under the programme, graduates below the age of 30 are required to participate in a mandatory one-year service to the nation.
During the service year, they are posted to states outside their region of origin to help promote cross-cultural understanding and national integration.
