A tragic incident has shaken residents of Ijebu Ode in Ogun State after a 30-year-old mother of three, identified as Abigail Adebayo, was found dead following a reported disagreement over her planned marriage.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Abigail had been in a relationship with her fiancé, Oniga Abiola, since September 2025, and the couple had been making plans to get married.

Sources said Abiola recently introduced her to his family. However, the relationship reportedly faced opposition after his family discovered that Abigail had three children from a previous relationship.
Days later, Abigail was found unresponsive in her room. She was immediately rushed to the General Hospital in Ijebu Ode, where doctors confirmed her dead on arrival.
The incident was reported to the Atan Ijebu Division of the Ogun State Police Command.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said detectives visited both the scene and the hospital as part of preliminary investigations. He noted that photographs were taken and no visible signs of physical violence were found on her body.
The police spokesperson added that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding her death.
