Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has projected a future where the nation becomes economically strong enough to extend financial support to other countries, insisting that the country is on the brink of remarkable transformation.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Senator Tinubu made the declaration in Ile-Ife, Osun State, moments after she was honoured with the chieftaincy title of Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua during the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

The ceremony drew an impressive roster of national figures including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nana Shettima, Patience Jonathan, Governors Ademola Adeleke, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, and former Speaker Dimeji Bankole. Other dignitaries such as Ibikunle Amosun, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Mudashiru Obasa, Kola Adewusi, and Kafayat Oyetola were also in attendance.

The event also hosted revered monarchs including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun, and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye.
Expressing her gratitude, Mrs Tinubu praised the Ooni for the honour, declaring that Nigeria’s long-awaited turnaround had begun.
She stated that by 2026, the country would enter a season of prosperity that would astonish critics, adding that President Tinubu’s leadership would deliver results many had considered impossible.
Earlier, Ooni Ogunwusi highlighted Oluremi Tinubu’s unwavering support for the throne and acknowledged the crucial role played by former President Obasanjo.
