EKO HOT BLOG reports that Onochie, a former Special Assistant on Social and Digital Media to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, made the disclosure in a Facebook post on Friday, July 25, a day after the meeting.
She described their conversation as one inspired by shared concerns about Nigeria’s direction, suggesting that both leaders are exploring fresh ideas to rescue the country from deepening socio-political challenges.
“Yesterday, Big Brother and Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and yours truly had a meeting. It was centered around recovering our nation from her captives,” Onochie wrote.
Although she offered no detailed agenda, her remarks hinted at a possible bipartisan collaboration. She ended her message with, “God bless Nigeria.”
The meeting has triggered discussions in political circles, largely due to Onochie’s prominent role under the All Progressives Congress (APC) government and her strong loyalty to Buhari. Her re-emergence alongside a key figure from an opposition party is being closely watched amid growing speculation of political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Since leaving office, Onochie has maintained a low public profile. However, her recent appearance with Aregbesola, now a visible player within the ADC, signals what some observers consider the beginning of renewed political moves among past allies and critics alike.

The development has further fueled rumours of shifting alliances across party lines as Nigeria heads toward a crucial election cycle.
