EKO HOT BLOG reports that Onaiwu, who was the pioneer Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, described the rumours as baseless and mischievous. He attributed the claims to political saboteurs seeking to destabilize the party and derail preparations for the upcoming PDP National Convention.
“There is no rift between Governor Makinde and former Governor Wike. Both men remain committed leaders and loyal members of the PDP family,” Onaiwu said in a statement issued on Thursday.
He emphasized that recent speculations were orchestrated by individuals unhappy with the unity displayed during the party’s recent strategic meeting. He affirmed that the PDP remains strong, united, and committed to democratic principles.
Onaiwu also stated that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC), and key stakeholders have all agreed to collaborate closely in preparation for the national convention, with full involvement of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He urged the public and media to disregard circulating reports suggesting internal conflict within the PDP, adding that the party remains focused on its core mission of restoring competent and inclusive governance in Nigeria.

“The PDP is not distracted by sponsored propaganda. Our mission is clear, our ranks are united, and our vision is focused on delivering competent leadership to Nigerians once again,” Onaiwu said.
