EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Küçük, Osimhen has presented clear conditions before considering a permanent stay at the Turkish Super Lig champions following his stellar loan spell. One of those demands was the signing of marquee players—a condition the club swiftly acted on by sealing a deal with Germany international Leroy Sané.
“Just like Mauro Icardi once said, ‘If we are building a strong team, I will stay,’ Osimhen echoed the same sentiment,” Küçük stated.
Sané, who is set to join Galatasaray on a three-year deal after his Bayern Munich contract expires on June 30, will reportedly earn €9 million annually, along with a €3 million loyalty bonus. He may still feature for Bayern Munich in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup in the United States before making the switch official.
Galatasaray have tabled a lucrative offer of €14 million per season, including bonuses, to convince Osimhen to remain. The Nigerian star, who netted 37 goals and recorded 8 assists in 41 appearances last season, is reportedly taking his time.
“Galatasaray is in a hurry, but Osimhen is not,” Küçük added.
Osimhen, currently on holiday in Nigeria, has attracted interest from top clubs including Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, Manchester United, AC Milan, and Juventus, according to transfer insider Valentin Furlan.
In another development, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge. The 24-year-old impressed in the UEFA Champions League and helped the Belgian side lift the domestic cup. Spurs’ new manager Thomas Frank is targeting six new signings this summer, with Onyedika on his radar.
