- The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) maintains that National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu remain the sole recognized heads of the party.
- National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Mohammed clarified that the April 30, 2026, Supreme Court judgment strictly invalidated the Ibadan convention and did not address the suspension or removal of any party official.
- The National Working Committee (NWC) dismissed moves by the Board of Trustees (BoT) to assume control, stating the party constitution does not empower the BoT to take over NWC functions.
- The party leadership alleged that Senator Adolphus Wabara’s tenure as BoT Chairman had expired, recognizing Senator Mao Ohuabunwa as the legitimate board leader instead.

The NWC maintains that because the issues of suspension or expulsion were never part of the legal determination at any level of adjudication, the standing leadership structure remains intact.

Jungudo Mohammed asserted that Abdulrahman Mohammed and Samuel Anyanwu remain in their duly recognized positions, and any claims to the contrary are baseless propaganda.

The party spokesman warned Wabara to cease making statements on behalf of the PDP, suggesting that such infractions would no longer be tolerated.
While Wabara has attempted to convene emergency meetings to stabilize the party, the recognized NWC urges the media and the public to disregard these actions as efforts to destabilize the party’s operational structure.
