The Zamfara State Police Command has recorded a major breakthrough in a case involving alleged human trafficking, baby factory activities and the theft of a 10-day-old baby from General Hospital, Kaura Namoda.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Command’s spokesperson, Yazid Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, revealing that the incident was first reported at the Kaura Namoda Police Division three days before the infant was recovered.

According to the statement, hospital workers who were on duty at the time of the incident were invited for questioning as part of ongoing investigations into the disappearance of the newborn.
Police further disclosed that on May 15, 2026, at about 08:35hrs, operatives successfully recovered the stolen baby from a nearby hamlet, whose identity was withheld for security reasons.
The infant was reportedly found unharmed and has since been reunited with the biological parents.
The command also confirmed that one suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue into the alleged baby factory and human trafficking network linked to the case.
