“On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at about 5:30 a.m., operatives inspected the abandoned ‘Ghana Must Go’ bags and found 32 iPhones, 38 other smartphones, five laptops, several smartwatches, AirPods, a Samsung Tab, and a Sorapad,” the statement said.
The RRS Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, described the recovery as a result of intensified patrols, adding that preliminary findings showed the gadgets were stolen items hurriedly dropped by the suspects.
He urged members of the public who may have lost similar devices to visit the RRS Headquarters, Alausa, with verifiable proof of ownership to reclaim their property.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Moshood Jimoh, commended the RRS team for their vigilance and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing and proactive crime prevention.
Meanwhile, the Command also announced the arrest of four members of a car-snatching and armed robbery gang believed to be behind several violent attacks within and outside Lagos.
Adebisi said the suspects were arrested between October 15 and 17 following coordinated tactical operations, adding that they would be charged to court after investigations.
