A pregnant woman lost her life on Thursday in a fatal road crash along the Sagamu Expressway corridor in Ogun State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the tragic incident, which left several others injured, involved a payloader, a Toyota Camry (registration number AAB-248 MK), and a commercial tricycle (registration number JGB-643 VD).

Spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident to newsmen, explaining that the accident occurred when the Camry driver lost control, veered off his lane, and rammed into the tricycle, killing the pregnant woman on the spot.
According to Akinbiyi, the payloader operator, the Camry driver, and several male passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash.

He added that the injured victims were rescued and taken to nearby hospitals in Sagamu by passers-by, while the body of the deceased was deposited in an undisclosed morgue.
TRACE officials have since appealed to motorists to maintain safe speeds and adhere strictly to traffic regulations, especially along high-risk corridors such as the Sagamu Expressway.
