This confirmation follows a letter from the Qatari government to Nigeria’s foreign affairs ministry indicating their inability to host the president and the proposed forum on March 2 and 3 due to the absence of a legally binding agreement for investment promotion between the two nations.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the ministry’s spokesperson, Francisca Omayuli, it was affirmed that the visit will take place on the scheduled dates, during which leaders from both countries will engage in discussions covering strategic, diplomatic, and economic matters.
The statement emphasized the longstanding friendship and bilateral relations between Nigeria and Qatar, expressing optimism that President Tinubu’s visit will further strengthen these ties. “The Federal Republic of Nigeria and the State of Qatar have a long history of friendship and close bilateral relations.
