Each state, as well as the Federal Capital Territory, will receive 10,000 cartons of pads, with governors’ wives overseeing distribution to guarantee that every girl in a school receives one carton.
In addition, the First Lady announced plans to establish climate change clubs in secondary schools and universities. These clubs are intended to engage students in climate awareness and waste management efforts, with a long-term goal of setting up recycling plants in each state to address plastic pollution.
As part of the initiative’s empowerment efforts, RHI will also grant N200,000 to 250 PWDs in every state to help them recapitalise their businesses. Mrs. Tinubu noted that RHI had already supported women farmers and provided food staples to vulnerable groups, reinforcing its commitment to broader national development goals. She urged governors’ wives to lead in implementing these projects and emphasized the need for unity and prayer during Lent and Ramadan.
In an interview with journalists after the meeting, Mrs. Tinubu highlighted the importance of local production in the Flow with Confidence Initiative. She explained that manufacturing sanitary towels locally would not only create jobs but also boost the economy. She also encouraged students, particularly those studying in environmental and biological sciences, to play a pivotal role in environmental projects.

Emphasising the value of hard work, Mrs. Tinubu quoted, “faith without works is dead,” urging young Nigerians to work diligently to help the country grow.
