The allocation exercise marked another milestone in the lawmaker’s commitment to grassroots development and economic empowerment, providing traders with secured trading spaces and improved facilities to support their livelihoods.
Explaining the purpose of the allocation, Mr. Hassan Oluwakemi Bashir stated that the letters serve as proof of ownership and a requirement for completing registration at the local government level.

He emphasized that the shops were allocated free of charge, in line with the promise made by the MHR.
“The MHR has fulfilled his promise that the allocations will be given free of charge.
The letter is to affirm ownership of the shops and also serves as a pass to complete registration at the local government.
While the shops are free, occupants must ensure they pay their taxes and maintain the facilities so that more benefits can be attracted to the market,” he said.
The Iyaloja of Ayetoro Heritage Market, Mrs. Alausa Alaba, appreciated Hon. Raji for restoring hope to traders after the demolition of the former market structures.
“When our shops were demolished, we had already lost hope. It was Rep. Wale Raji who came to our rescue, rebuilt the shops and even allocated them to us for free. This development means a lot to us,” she said.
Alhaja Kawoju Mojisola also commended the lawmaker for the gesture and appealed to traders to take proper care of the facilities to ensure their sustainability.
Alhaji Rabiu Sule, a Hausa trader in the market, praised the MHR for his inclusive leadership, noting that beneficiaries cut across ethnic lines.
“It is good that he did not recognize only his own people but also other tribes. This shows that he is truly a man of the people. I urge everyone to vote for Wale Raji in the 2027 elections,” he stated.
Another Hausa trader, Abdulkarim Khalid, echoed similar sentiments, applauding the representative for fair representation and unity through development.
Mrs. Giwa Abiodun expressed joy over the allocation, praising Hon. Raji for the favor shown to traders and urging collective support ahead of future elections.
“Hon. Wale Raji has done well for us. Everyone should stand up in 2027 to support him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates because they are performing,” she said.
Speaking on behalf of the market leadership, the Baba Oja, Mr. Nureni Tajudeen, recalled the years of hardship traders endured before the intervention.
“We have spent about eight years selling under the sun and rain before Hon. Wale Raji came to put smiles on our faces with these facilities and allocated them to us free of charge. I advise traders not to sell the shops but to use and maintain them well,” he said.
Other beneficiaries also took turns to appreciate the MHR, offering prayers for him and commending his effective representation and consistent developmental efforts across Epe Division.
