A brazen daylight robbery in the Mokola area of Ibadan, Oyo State, left residents in panic as armed robbers targeted local shops on Wednesday, Eko Hot Blog reports.
According to reports, at least three people sustained gunshot wounds during the incident, which occurred near the Mokola bridge.

Witnesses described the chaotic scene as the assailants fired indiscriminately, successfully carting away an undisclosed sum of money from their victims. Among the injured were two individuals who suffered gunshot wounds and another who lost consciousness before police arrived on the scene.
It was gathered that one middle-aged man was hit near his groin, another in the leg, and a teenager suffered a gunshot wound to the wrist. All injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at the Alaafia Hospital in Mokola.
The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident and clarified that the attack occurred under the Mokola bridge, not in a bank, as previously rumored.
Osifeso urged residents to refrain from spreading panic and misinformation while authorities investigate the matter.
