Eko Hot Blog reports that Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led a grand celebration to mark the 2024 May Day, honoring the state’s workforce and pledging continued support for their welfare.
The event, held at the iconic Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, witnessed a vibrant display of unity and solidarity as workers from various sectors marched proudly.

Flanked by labor leaders, including NLC Chairman Comrade Agnes Sessi and TUC Chairman Comrade Gbenga Ekundayo, Governor Sanwo-Olu acknowledged the crucial role played by workers in driving the state’s progress. Meanwhile, the state’s Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro, and other top officials graced the occasion.
“Our workers are the backbone of our state’s success,” Sanwo-Olu declared, “and we remain committed to ensuring their well-being and creating an enabling environment for them to thrive.”
Comrade Sessi applauded the governor’s worker-friendly policies, stating, “Governor Sanwo-Olu has consistently demonstrated his dedication to improving the lives of workers in Lagos State.”
