The suspect, initially trying to evade detection, was caught digging into the tomb.
According to Soji Ganzallo, Commander of the So-Safe Corps, Oriyomi confessed to having already exhumed a skull from another tomb on January 18, which he hid in his residence.
He admitted that the skulls were intended for a money ritual known as Osole.
Oriyomi, a resident of Kere in Ewekoro Local Government Area, also disclosed during interrogation that he had sold nearly ten human skulls in the past.

He further revealed a history of imprisonment, having served two years following an arrest for a similar offense in Ado-Odo and another six years and nine months at the Oba Correctional Center after being convicted in Obada-Oko.
Commander Ganzallo confirmed that the suspect, along with the recovered exhibit, a fully dried human skull, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Obada Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution.
The arrest has sparked concern within the community, with Ganzallo urging local leaders to be vigilant in screening tenants and visitors.
