Tension resurfaced online after socialite Sophia Momodu addressed claims suggesting she blocked her daughter, Imade, from attending Davido’s 33rd birthday celebration in Atlanta.
Eko Hot Blog reports that in a series of posts shared on Snapchat, Sophia dismissed the allegations, insisting the narrative was false and driven by people who have repeatedly targeted her for years.

She maintained that every decision she makes is rooted in protecting her child, not in fuelling public drama.

According to her, Imade’s privacy and emotional safety will always take precedence, and she cautioned critics against dragging the young girl into internet controversies.
Sophia noted that while she is willing to tolerate personal attacks, she will never allow anyone use her daughter’s name to push misleading stories.
“You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now. And while I try to be as graceful as I can, I’m also a very protective mother. Say whatever you want about me, it’s ok. But leave my child alone. This is non-negotiable. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform,” she wrote.

She also hinted at taking legal action against anyone who continues spreading misinformation about her child.
The clarification followed renewed online chatter after Imade was noticeably absent from Davido’s birthday festivities, which were attended by close friends and family, including his daughter Hailey from another relationship.
