EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Super Eagles will host the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before traveling to face South Africa later that month. These encounters are pivotal as Nigeria seeks to improve its qualification chances following recent setbacks.
In their last outing, the Super Eagles were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday, a result that has complicated their qualification campaign.
Meanwhile, head coach Eric Chelle has praised two players—Ola Aina and Bright Osayi-Samuel—for their performances in the match against Zimbabwe. Chelle highlighted Aina’s versatility in playing effectively on both flanks and commended Osayi-Samuel’s contributions.
“Ola played on the right side and sometimes on the left side. I believe he had a commendable performance, and Bright, too, was impressive,” Chelle said in his post-match remarks.
He also admitted that the team struggled in the final moments of the game, which ultimately resulted in the draw.
