EKO HOT BLOG reports that the tournament, scheduled for the March FIFA Men’s International Window, will feature Nigeria, Iran, Jordan and Costa Rica in a round of competitive fixtures.
Nigeria, three time African champions and bronze medallists at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, will open their campaign against Iran on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the 17,000 capacity Amman International Stadium. On the same day, hosts Jordan will face Costa Rica at the 62,000 capacity King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in the Jordanian capital.
The Super Eagles will then take on Jordan on Tuesday, March 31, at the Amman International Stadium, while Costa Rica and Iran clash simultaneously at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Kick off times for the four matches are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The invitational tournament is expected to serve as key preparation for Jordan and Iran ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. Jordan will be making their maiden appearance at the tournament and have been drawn in Group J alongside Argentina, Algeria and Austria. Iran will compete in Group G with Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand.

Nigeria, however, are not yet assured of participation at the World Cup after losing to DR Congo in the final round of the African playoffs. The March tournament offers the Super Eagles an opportunity to test new combinations and maintain competitive rhythm on the international stage.
