President Bola Tinubu met with the leadership of the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to deliberate on key national issues.
The meeting was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, the delegation of lawmakers was led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, alongside other members of the Senate leadership.
Details of the discussions were not fully disclosed, but the presidency confirmed that critical matters affecting the country were addressed during the closed door session.
Onanuga, in a post on X, stated that the meeting focused on issues of urgent national importance and resulted in key decisions.
“President Tinubu met the extended leadership of the Senate on Wednesday at the Villa. According to Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, far-reaching decisions were taken at this strategic meeting, which deliberated on matters of urgent national importance,” the statement read.

The engagement is seen as part of ongoing consultations between the executive and legislative arms of government aimed at strengthening governance and addressing pressing national concerns.
